Two weeks ago our tenants gave us a 30 day notice.
This solidified our decision to sell the investment property and use the profits to put in a pool and pay down our current home.
The timing really isn’t terrible. The house will sell faster then if we wait until June.
Here’s a little secret. I’m kind of sad to see it go. We Bought the house when Lucas was only six months old and got pregnant and had Nathan while still in the house. My little family got it’s big start while living there.
Our Real estate agent had her contractor give us a quote and he plans to start work this week!
We plan to involve my father-in-law as much as possible in our pool planning process. He sells pools in another large city, so we trust his advice on what we should and shouldn’t do.
Here are a couple of pools that we really like. I love a really simple shape, absolutely nothing free form. We are leaning towards the Roman/Grecian shapes. It will give us a little bit of character but be nice and long for short laps.
We definitely want a hot tub that is flush with the pool and I’m begging for a few expensive accent tiles. Just a few for a little pop!
My vision is for the expensive tiles to separate the pool and the hot tub and outline the steps.
The kids are really excited!
