public or private

Published by Priscilla under The Kids

We have finally (sadly) decided home school will wait. For now.

Do you send your kids to public or do you swing for private?

We have to make a decision FAST.

We are leaning to private because we have a spot and it’ll be impossible to ever get one again. We totally lucked out.

It’s just a little far so that will be a pain for pick up (dh will do drop off). We’ve heard amazing things. We’ve also heard a couple of bad things.

The bad things that can happen in public are just scary … but a fact of life.
ugh.

I just need to talk I guess.

Big Decisions

Published by Priscilla under William

Ugh.

I’ve been stressing SO much over sending Will to public school or homeschool (a little potential for Private thrown in but basically it falls into the public list).

The only thing holding ME back at this point is what my baby wants. He seems so excited to go but at the same time I know he’d get more out of it if we stayed home and he had the opportunity to play soccer, advance in TKD and join the swim team. He can’t do all of those things in public school. Plus I am not ready to let him go yet. He’s still my baby. I want him to flourish and not be held back because 1/2 the class isn’t ready to move on when he and some of the others are ………ugh .. it goes on and on.

That’s my ramble for now. I could go on.

and on.

and on.

I won’t.

Will’s Lampasas visit.

Published by Priscilla under Lucas, The Kids, William

I’ll continue to update this week as I check in on my baby. This is his first big trip away from me and I’m not sure how I’m going to handle it! We’ve been planning this since December but it all came up SO quickly. It’s really difficult to watch your kids grow up and away. He’s only 5.

Anyways …. we left yesterday around 1 pm. I called to check in this morning and he said he’s having lots of fun. Last night they went to eat Mexican food and then stopped in at Dairy Queen for “oreo icecream with mint in it”.

I thought his voice was starting to sound big but then I talked to him on the phone and all that changed. He still sounds like such a baby!

What am I going to do???????????

On the Lucas front:

ok – it’s time to cut Lucas’ hair. We had to pull it back in a pony tail this weekend because it was so hot and today he wanted it in a clip like mine…. hahah
– So far he hasn’t asked for “buba”.

Ncredible Crust

My first Pflugerville pfavorite is going to be a restaurant; that is what everyone searches for in a new town anyways, right?! We all have to eat.

Click on photo for facebook fan page! (photo stolen borrowed from my friend at Austin City Mommy!!)

Ncredible Crust pizza opened Spring 2010 (I can’t remember the exact day, but that doesn’t really matter!!)in the Windermere Shopping center downtown (they are across from Wal-Greens).

We practically live in that shopping center between TaeKwonDo and the Book Box, (I’ll get to those in time!!)so we tried them right away. We have had pizza/games once a week for last year and a half, so this was our kind of place.

When you go in, there is a play area with a mini slide, a big foam puzzle and lots of random toys. The owner (Wade and his wife) put a little porch/deck in the  back, just in front of the kitchen, so kids can climb up and watch them make the pizza. This is Lucas’ favorite spot. They keep threatening to put him to work if he doesn’t get down  and eat. I can’t forget the mini arcade or the small room in the back with a TV for games or parties! I don’t know the details on the back room so I’ll just leave it at that!

The pizza itself, is just amazing ncredible and the prices are so budget friendly, too! They advertise that it’s in the crust and it is!! You can get hand tossed, thin or deep dish; on top of all that you can leave your crust as-is or add one of 3 flavors. Tomato Basil, Garlic parmesean, or flavor of the month (in the past he’s had a coconut, oats and honey and my favorite so far, mediterranean . ) I should be ashamed, but I do not know what July’s flavor is. I guess you have to stop in for yourself to find out!

William almost ALWAYS eats ranch with his pizza. The first time we had Ncredible he did not. He made it very clear that the pizza was SO good he didn’t even WANT ranch!! How that for honesty?

When they first opened, there was a salad bar. They took that away and now offer the most amazing Italian dressing tossed salad you will ever eat. I’m usually a ranch dressing girl but this far surpasses a ranch dressing salad any day!

OOOH and don’t forget to try the apple. YUm. Yum Yum. That’s all I need to say (granny smith covered in Caramel, covered in white chocolate, rolled in sugar —- best. thing. ever.)  WHat’s that saying? An apple a day…….

So there you have it! We have quickly become regulars there. The owners take the time to talk to you and your kids and they REMEMBER you!

P.S. They just started delivering so make sure you call and ask if you are in his delivery area. You can also pick your pizza up at the back door if the kids are screaming, sleeping or you just don’t want to get out of the car. Just call ahead! The phone number is on the facebook page.

If you go in tell them Lucas sent you and make sure you come back and tell me what you thought!
