The original plan was 9 WHOLE days on the beach. That did not actually happen.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9871\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wheelchairmommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_3203-e1441030177996.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3203\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\"><\/p>\n<p>We got to the beach LATE Friday night, spent all day Saturday and Sunday one the beach (with a trip into town for supplies) and on Monday we went to Mustang Island\/Port Aransas for part of the day. This is where we want to some day invest in a condo. We had NO cell coverage while on the beach. Heavenly.<\/p>\n<p>We discovered there were crazy storms headed in and we really didn&#8217;t want to be on the beach in a pop-up if things got ugly. So we packed up and headed home. We got home insanely late. We spent the next two days cleaning sand off of EVERY. SINGLE. THINGS.<\/p>\n<p>So what exactly did we do those few short days?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I read 3 books. Sorry Charlie but I can&#8217;t move once you plop down on my lounge chair.<\/li>\n<li>I tanned at least 4 shades darker than I wanted to and YES I used sunblock&#8230; but didn&#8217;t always remember to reapply.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9872\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wheelchairmommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_3222-e1441030414403.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3222\" width=\"700\" height=\"700\"><\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9873\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wheelchairmommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_3225-e1441030426475.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3225\" width=\"700\" height=\"700\"><\/li>\n<li>Everyone probably, easily consumed 100 oz of water\/gatorade each and every day. No comment on how much salt water we &nbsp;probably took in. Blech.<\/li>\n<li>We ate at Snoopy&#8217;s twice.&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9866\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wheelchairmommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_3211-e1441029669558.jpg\" alt=\"snoopy's shrimp and fish\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\"><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">We actually cooked at least 1 meal. Maybe 2? That was not the plan. We wanted to cook. We wanted to save money. Life is what happens.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9867\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wheelchairmommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_3249-e1441029705234.jpg\" alt=\"shrimp and grits\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">I personally consumed around 25 gulf shrimp. I&#8217;m not sure how much we consumed as a family.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The boys built 498 sand castles.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Nathan dumped water on 497 of those and made the boys angry.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9870\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wheelchairmommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_3237-e1441030128836.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3237\" width=\"700\" height=\"420\"><\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9865\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wheelchairmommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_3240-e1441029597529.jpg\" alt=\"sand castle\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\"><\/li>\n<li>The boys played on their boogy boards about 2-3 hours every day.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9869\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wheelchairmommy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_3231-e1441030117399.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3231\" width=\"700\" height=\"420\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The week before school started we took for 9 days and went on vacation.
