I was able to crank the music up, which I never get to do with the boys. I stopped at Target for a few things I thought she’d like. I got a grey box for all the cards she has received. IT turns out she’s going to need about 3 more boxes!

I found my cards recently and it was nice to look back through them. Maybe I will share some on here?! Hmm. I also got her a journal and pens. I like writing. It helped capture my feelings right after. I DO Plan to share that with you.

I also got her a little set of cards and “R” stickers. She could write any friends she wanted to. I know this is the digital age but something about being in a hospital…sometimes you do things you don’t USUALLY do.

I fully intended to buy her flowers but the Target I stopped at didn’t have any, but I got her a GORGEOUS turquosie vase. Boo on Target. The next time I go I WILL BE BRINGING FLOWERS!!

I arrived around 4:20 and missed seeing her up and about and OUT with ponies! “R” is a barrel racer and really missed being around what she loves so much so a dear friend of the family brought it to her. THE SMILE on her face!!! Oh, you guys!!! I didn’t get to see that smile in person, but the pictures made my heart melt. This girl belongs on the horse and I told her this can’t and won’t stop her. She needs to get back out there the second the doctors tell her it’s ok. THAT will be what makes everything better. She may never walk again but she will RIDE! She will inspire so many people. She may even get ME on a horse.<a title="It’s not a spectator sport, Sweetheart. She mostly wanted to know how quick this or that would happen. I stayed as late as I could… sometimes not really talking but just being there. Many times we talked about life in general. I can tell you one things for certain. This beautiful young woman has come an incredibly long way in just a few weeks and I know she will continue to improve LEAPS AND BOUNDS and I can’t wait to see it.
