 What will the RESULTS be when I give this a whirl?!<\/h3>\n

I pinned a recipe for homemade laundry soap over a year ago and never went back to it and somehow the thought popped back in my head.<\/p>\n

I searched “Homemade laundry soap” on pinterest and 100s of results popped up.<\/p>\n

I started reading and pinning.<\/p>\n

Yes it’s safe for HE. It doesn’t bubble that much, so it’s perfectly safe.<\/p>\n

FEAR NOT, bubbles are not what get your clothes clean anyways.<\/p>\n

I’m cool with the borax ($2.00)so unpin the non borax “recipes”.<\/p>\n

Search. Search. Search.<\/p>\n

Fels naptha vs Zote.<\/p>\n

Okay whichever I find first.<\/p>\n

Oooh, wait? People make it with Mrs. Meyers? NICE!<\/p>\n

Dr. Brooners, too? Who’s he?<\/p>\n

I didn’t NOT find Fels naptha or Zote at my target so the decision was made.<\/p>\n

I wanted Mrs. Meyers and could have SWORN they had bar soap at Target but only the liquid stuff.<\/p>\n

I did find Dr. Brooner’s in Lavendar. Heaven. ($2.50)<\/p>\n

Also, no washing soda at Target, but I got a glass canister and measuring spoon for $10, these items are the only non perishables I bought.<\/p>\n

I checked Wal-Mart the next day and they had it ($2.00). They also had the Fels Naptha and I didn’t like the scent that I could detect from the wrapper.<\/p>\n

I also decided to grab some OxyClean. My boys get dirty. ($3)<\/p>\n

Okay. So now for my Recipe. I went “small”, as a test run.<\/h3>\n

Lavandar Laundry Soap:<\/span><\/p>\n

1 Cup Borax ( less than $1)<\/span><\/p>\n

1 Cup Washing Soda (less than $1)<\/span><\/p>\n

1 Cup OxyClean (Aprox. $1.50)<\/span><\/p>\n

1 Bar of Dr. Bronner’s <\/a>\"\"
\n( about $2.50 depending on scent\/store)<\/span><\/p>\n

Total: $6 and it appears to be ABOUT 2 months worth of detergent, assuming I do 5-7 loads a week and ONLY use the 1 tablespoon STRONGLY recommended by everyone.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I still have more than have a box or borax and washing soda and part of the oxyclean, but I went with a small container.<\/p>\n
