We have not a full week of school, yet, but things are going well. We waited until after labor day to start, so our first day wasn’t until last Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Here are pictures from the last 2 years, for comparison. I know they aren’t perfect, but I have them and I will always treasure them. Oh, and I was doing it before all the cute fancy ones that are all over pinterest.<\/p>\n

Wednesday Will was sick. Go figure.<\/p>\n

I planned for this to be a full week but Lucas started having heavier nose bleeds (and started wheezing…) so we had a few interruptions due to doctors appointments. I’ll talk more about that later.<\/span><\/p>\n

All in all I have been very happy with how things are going.<\/p>\n

I won’t lie.<\/p>\n

It hasn’t been free of frustration.<\/p>\n

It hasn’t been free of empty<\/del> threats.<\/p>\n

It HAS been the best choice I’ve made for Will’s education and I deeply regret not following my parental instinct 2 years ago.<\/p>\n

Copywork. . . handwriting (print) skills are important! (we will start cursive next year)<\/p><\/div>\n

Hands (and tongue) ON in science! Tasting\/smelling\/observing spices (because Christopher wanted to find the Indies so he could bring spices back!)<\/p><\/div>\n

He didn’t use the “F” word so we aren’t on the hook for beer. We (Charlie) can’t use the “F” word that means the same thing as before your second\/initial when we are at the drop zone (DZ)…..<\/p><\/div>\n

I take that back. I’m grateful for the friends I made while at Murchison, but it just wasn’t for him.<\/p>\n

It might be for Lucas.<\/p>\n

I really don’t know.<\/p>\n

People are SHOCKED when I tell them Lucas is going to preschool and that I might be sending him to public school next year.<\/p>\n

Every child is different. They each need something unique.<\/p>\n

I honestly do not know what Lucas needs yet.<\/p>\n

He is LOVING preschool though!<\/p>\n
