I made cake pops for the first time. I made cake BALLS about a year ago and that was a FLOP.<\/p>\n

What did I do different?!<\/p>\n

I used LESS icing. That is key. They rolled beautifully.<\/p>\n

They still are not perfect.<\/p>\n

What will I do differently in attempt number 2 (or 3?)?<\/p>\n

I will let the candy “dry” on the stick that I insert into the pop before I dip it.<\/p>\n

I will use a deeper dish to melt the candy so I can go straight down and FAST.<\/p>\n

I didn’t figure that out until the very end so only a pop or two reflect that.<\/p>\n

The rest look …. interesting.<\/p>\n

Not bad for a quicky attempt though!!<\/p>\n

They are tasty – so who cares, right!?<\/p>\n
