This is another paper I wrote in 2001 and I thought it was funny. I do say bullshit over and over so be warned if you are easily offended.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of those rare posts that is not for my kids, but just because. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #333399;\">We\u2019ve all heard it, and we\u2019ve all knowingly passed it off.\u00a0 There aren\u2019t many days that go by that a form of it isn\u2019t used in your life or mine.\u00a0 You may not always know that it\u2019s present but bullshit sticks around.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Bullshit.\u00a0 Isn\u2019t it great?\u00a0 I mean how else are you going to get out of not having read the first five chapters of your history book?\u00a0 Ah, the power that it brings when the person being bullshitted doesn\u2019t know that you haven\u2019t the slightest clue what you are talking about.\u00a0 Unfortunately I don\u2019t think I could con my way thru the previous scenario even if I tried.\u00a0 It would take more work than just reading all one hundred and eighty five pages.\u00a0 I think.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\">A bullshit artist would know, but I don\u2019t know any.\u00a0 Or do I?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\">If we all just cared to learn the truth would there be as much BS? Some people are better at not knowing the truth than others.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been told that bullshitting is an actual art.\u00a0 Or rather that it can be. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\">This of course means that we aren\u2019t born knowing how to talk our way out of things; we learn them. Sometimes we learn things earlier than we should.\u00a0 I have seen children countless times blame something on just anyone when they didn\u2019t do it. <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>(oh dear me, little did I know that my own SON would do this, oops!) \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>They themselves really didn\u2019t do the wrong, but they don\u2019t know who did so they just named anyone.\u00a0 Maybe it was really the little boy that pulled her pigtails, but for some reason the little girl that stole her doll is the one that gets the blame.\u00a0 After all she didn\u2019t see it happen but she doesn\u2019t want to get the blame for it so why not make something up?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Sometimes our parents can BS us too.\u00a0 They have no real reason for not wanting us to do something; they just don\u2019t want us to.\u00a0 Perfect opportunity to just make something up.\u00a0 I mean how can they know that there is really going to be alcohol and drugs at that party?\u00a0 However, the two go hand in hand.\u00a0 We young adults can BS mom and dad as well.\u00a0 There \u2018might\u2019 be supervision at that party and not all the kids are going to drink, I don\u2019t think so why do the \u2018rents need to know that\u2019s it\u2019s actually going to be there.\u00a0 After all I\u2019m not sure. \u00a0 For some reason though, parents are good at knowing when we are doing this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Bullshit.\u00a0 It\u2019s something we have all used and certainly encountered.\u00a0 Sometimes we see it, sometimes we don\u2019t.\u00a0 Sometimes we get away with it, sometimes it\u2019s better luck next time.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I thought I would attempt to be funny today.
