We have several reasons why we ultimately decided NOT to trade the van in for a Mercedes. The model we were looking at was 6\/7 passenger wagon. It was beautiful. I wanted to get it in white.<\/p>\n
The boys and I fit just fine.<\/p>\n
My chair goes in the passenger seat, Nathan and Lucas in the middle, and Will in the back. Everyone has his own space. Awesome.<\/p>\n
We all fit with Daddy, too. MY chair goes in the back. Easy as pie.<\/p>\n
Then we think about the grocery store. Not so much room now.<\/p>\n
Then we need to take the stroller, too. No biggie if Dad isn’t with us. IF he is? No room for the stroller and chair.<\/p>\n
Today we have 3 kids. Will we ever have a 4th?<\/p>\n
I have no idea, but if we do, that changes everything. The car no longer works, AT ALL.<\/p>\n
Then there is the guilt. I didn’t grow up with many material things. I had what I needed and I was very happy and grateful. Now that I have my own family I am in a much different place. We are far from wealthy but we are comfortable. I can’t get used to that. I know so many people that still struggle. Why should I be allowed to have something that fun when I already have something that works just fine!?<\/p>\n
Sadly, for now, I must learn to rock the minivan even on days I don’t want to rock it.<\/p>\n
In an effort to do that we briefly considered a new minivan. I am grateful to my husband for allowing me that crazy moment. I quickly realized that the practical and most logical thing is to love my PAID for van and not burden our family with a payment we don’t have to have.<\/p>\n
