{"id":3077,"date":"2011-07-21T08:20:00","date_gmt":"2011-07-21T13:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wheelchairmommy.com\/?p=3077"},"modified":"2011-07-21T08:16:33","modified_gmt":"2011-07-21T13:16:33","slug":"miss-elainis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.wheelchairmommy.com\/closed\/2011\/miss-elainis\/","title":{"rendered":"miss elainis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Three Kids?\u00a0 No Problem!<\/p>\n<p>Since Priscilla is about to have three kids and I\u2019ve well, \u201cbeen there done that,\u201d I thought I\u2019d offer her a little insight into what it\u2019s like to be \u201coutnumbered.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I personally think three is the perfect number of kids for our family and I love their age differences and even the order in which we had them (two boys and then a girl).\u00a0 However.\u00a0 It does come with its challenges and crazy moments.\u00a0 Especially in the beginning.<\/p>\n<p>Some things to expect with three\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>You get smiled at more in public<\/strong>.\u00a0 It\u2019s probably a half smile of \u201comg she\u2019s got a lot of loud kids with her, no wonder she looks frazzled I feel so sorry for her\u201d smile, but I\u2019ll take it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A small SUV CAN hold 2 car seats and a booster<\/strong>.\u00a0 Unfortunately.\u00a0 Although my husband is all good with this fact.\u00a0 (Priscilla probably already has a mini-van, just like the rest of the mom world\u2026)<\/p>\n<p><strong>You\u2019ll save money!<\/strong> Let me set the scene.\u00a0 You\u2019re at target.\u00a0 One kid at school \u2013 check. Baby in infant carrier takes up most of cart.\u00a0 Toddler refuses to sit in front part of cart and wants to \u201cwalk\u201d along with you.\u00a0 Toddler runs away.\u00a0 Baby starts to cry. You get the 3 things you ABSOLUTELY need (including a Mucho Grande Latte at the in-store SB) and get the heck outta there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You can continue to use the double stroller<\/strong>.\u00a0 Unless one or both children likes to pull hair.\u00a0 Then?\u00a0 Not so much.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You have a \u201cgopher\u201d in the oldest child<\/strong>.\u00a0 He\/she will get you pretty much anything for the new baby, like a diaper, a bottle or a pacifier.\u00a0 Especially if you offer them two cookies and a new bike.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Only one child can cry at a time<\/strong>.\u00a0 I totally figured this was a rule but it SO is not.\u00a0 Who knew?\u00a0 They can ALL cry at the same time, really loudly and for completely different reasons all while you\u2019re trying to make dinner.\u00a0 This is the point when your head might pop off your neck.\u00a0 BUT!\u00a0 It\u2019s okay because once you pop a boob or bottle in the baby\u2019s mouth and lock put the other two in their humungous closet room to play quietly together all is fine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You will get to shower!<\/strong> Once or twice a week at least!<\/p>\n<p><strong>The third child magically turns into a toddler OVERNIGHT and can do stuff for him\/herself.<\/strong> You know like get all up in his\/her older siblings stuff that GOD FORBID THEY TOUCH and\/or climb on chairs that then lead to them standing on top of the counter, smiling in spite of themselves (hypothetically of course\u2026).<\/p>\n<p>So, see Priscilla?\u00a0 It\u2019s a walk in the park.\u00a0 A dark park at night with scary animals lurking in the shadows but a park nonetheless!<\/p>\n<p>Good Luck girl!\u00a0 You\u2019re gonna rock this mom-of-three gig!
