We spent the second half of our vacation on Galveston Island. We actually got out and did more than just sit in the sand and sun all day!
One of our stops was to the Galveston RR Museum. It was incredible.
I would say a little over 1/2 of it was accessible. I wasn’t able to go into each individual engine, caboose or car but there was enough to enjoy. I feel I got my money’s worth.
Sadly, in 2008, Hurricane Ike took many of the collectibles. I can’t imagine the things we missed by waiting until NOW to see this amazing collection.
