I am overdue for a house photos. My last post featured my formal living and dining room, so I thought I would keep with the theme and work my way into the kitchen and breakfast nook.
This room is NEVER perfect, that’s impossible because this is our HUB. It’s where backpacks are plopped and it’s where I spend most of my day. If I’m not cleaning and doing dishes, I am cooking or working. You will see later that this is also where my “desk” is. I love having my own little corner in the middle of all the action. Ignore the mess under my desk. I don’t have a “sewing station” so my sewing machine lives in that spot. Some day. Maybe.
We have not made any changes to the kitchen and don’t really plan to do much other than the walls. They are currently the same BLAH beige as the rest of the house. To make matters even worse?! It’s a flat paint so you can see smudges EVERYWHERE.
My favorite piece is the antique bench I use to add more seating my breakfast table and the baskets are PERFECT for all toys that accumulate on my table. I mostly like my chandelier so I am in no hurry to change it and the light over the island is better than most so it stays for now as well.
We did paint the island to match the gorgeous alcoves in my family room. I think I shared that on instagram and not here. Oops. I guess you will just have to wait and see. That being said ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME ON INSTAGRAM!???
I love our Butler’s pantry but it seems to be the “catch all” as you can see in the pictures. There is mail stacked and items that need to be returned. I don’t think I will ever be rid of a dump spot. Boo.
Now to the tour. Enjoy!
