So it begins. The bullying and teasing. I’m not sure it’s REALLY bullying, but it’s definitely kids being mean.
Yesterday morning I was sleeping in and Charlie was getting Will ready for school. I guess he was trying to talk Will into eating the school lunch but he was insistent we pack his lunch.
Why?
He likes mustard on his ham and cheese sandwich and the other kids make fun of him and tell him it’s gross. 🙁 (that was the item he liked from the list being served at school)
That’s sad to me. He should be able to eat something as perfectly normal as a sandwich without his friends making yucky sounds when they see him put a condiment on it.
Ugh. It’s just the beginning right!?
There is a part of me that wants to mention it to his teacher but what good would that really do?
ETA: I’m very certain there is nothing more going on. . Clearly if he told me this he’d tell me more. Especially since he knows if for WHATEVER reason he ever decides, we will homeschool. He wants to but he wants to stay in school too.. I doubt he’d want to stay if it were more than mustard.
