Home.

I haven’t posted in a couple of days because we ended up taking Lucas to the hospital Wednesday night and we were just released today. It’s all related to that silly rash. I am way to tired and exhausted to go into details right now but everything is okay now.

Gotta love it.

Tuesday is my favorite day of the week; it’s Pizza and game night, after all. What’s not to love?! We taught Will to play UNO. That was fun. Who would think a 4 year old would catch on to games so easily? He never ceases to amaze me with his smarts!!!

Here are a couple of pics. One is a ferryboat that Will built for his cars and the other is just my handsome boy. ( I say boy instead of boys because you cant see Lucas clearly…you can in the other shot I took but he is screaming BLOODY murder)

Lucas hasnt been feeling well. He got this weird rash that I’ve had for a few months. He’s taken meds for it and we are just waiting to see if they work. Anyways, he’s been a total grouch.  I, of course, had to make a Layout about it. What kind of scrapper would I be if I didn’t?

Everything is from Edeline Designs, debuting soon at a new store…..I’ll update credits when I can.

I go back to the doctor tomorrow for a follow up since my meds didn’t work. Blech.

64 grams of what?

This weeks menu has been posted and I added another new page (foodroll) that will include recipes I find on varies blogs….

Yesterday started our pretty average, but around 2:45 that all changed. We were heading out for an appointment and the garage door would NOT open. Now, if you know me, you know this is BAD. It’s my only way out of the house (unless you count the back yard). I tried the garage door button AGAIN and still nada. Somehow, a string had been pulled and it thought it was already open — I don’t really know, something like that. Anyways, I called my darling husband because I was starting to panic. Who wants to be trapped in a house with kids and no way to get out (WE MUST MAKE RAMP ON FRONT DOOR PRIORITY!)??

Anyways, he called the neighbor (I need to get that number….) and he came and manually opened the door for me. We got in the van and headed to our appointment. This “delay” almost made me late but Charlie met us there to help me out so I could get in faster and then he headed home to fix whatever hte heck was wrong.

The rest of the day went mostly smooth.

Will is without video games right now and he keeps complaining about THAT….but he really needed the break from it.

Charlie had to work late so the boys and I had make shift dinner. I had La Madeline Tomato Basil. Oh. My. Goodness. This is my favorite soup ever. I am beyond thrilled that it comes in a jar from my local grocery store. The best part is that it tastes EXACTLY the same. The bad part is that I can eat the ENTIRE jar and it has about 64 grams of fat and 680 calories. But it is ssoooo worth it so who cares.

Lucas has chicken nuggets and spoonful after spoonful of avocado. Crazy kid. Will…well he had nuggets and yogurt. No avocado for him, lol.

I got BOTH boys to bed by 7:40. GO ME.

Just when Charlie was on his way home he discovered the clutch was broken in his loaner. It was after 10 so there was no way I could go out after him so he called josh. Two hours later and a little more drama and he was finally home.

I did get some reading in :D

oook- so THIS is why I need to update more often

I decided to not recap until today and now I am not sure I will even come close to remembering everything I waned to include in my update.

Thursday night around 8 my sister Cindy came into town. I have this note on the door that says, “Do NOT ring the door bell, baby sleeping”. I bet you know where this is going, right? LOL. Yup. She rang the bell. I asked her if she saw the note and she said she did, but just thought it was probably there all the time and was just for during the day………LOL. No silly, the doorbell will wake him at night too…and it did. He fussed for about 30 seconds so it wasn’t too bad.

Friday we just did some running around and hit up Ross and IKEA. I know I am going to be in the minority here but I REALLY do not like that store. It was only my second time and I thought I liked it the first time, but….Ikea is not for me. Everything is far too modern. Some of it is okay … but I think i am more of a traditional kind of girl when it comes to stuff for the house.

Will and Lucas liked the play area though.

We stayed up talking untiil about one in the morning…that was fun. I’d never done that before with this sister.

Saturday Charlie had to fix a flat (took it to tire store) before she could go home. (nail). Will was bummed to see her leave but we got ready and headed out to meet friends at Chuck E Cheese. Their safety practices really do work in case you were ever wondering. When we were leaving a girl about 9 was trying to leave with a teenager and their numbers didnt match but the girls parents had already left….I don’t know the whole story and they were eventually alowd to leave, but I could tell she had the girls parents on the phone and they had to find an employee that did indeed know the tewo were “together” earlier at a party. So there you have it. Chuck E Cheese will hold our kids hostage if someone tries to leave with them that “shouldn’t”.

Here is Will playing:

Sunday we just did stuff, and Charlie primed the bathroom so we should be able to paint soon. Sunday another sister (susan), her boys and our stepdad came into town and we all went out to eat. We went to Maudie’s. It is the BEST. Place. EVER. We just love it. There were 8 of us and the bill before tip was under $60. Granted my stepdad didnt eat and Lucas ate off my plate….BUT we did ordere an appetizer. The place just rocks. If you live in Austin you HAVE To go.

That’s it. :D

Big Sister here.

Big sis is here so no update today.
Don’t forget about the vacuum contest…and I have a question about noise that you may have missed yesterday because my blog was down a large part of the day so make sure you scroll down if you haven’t already seen it :) .

I want to win…do you?

There is a link on my sidebar with an easy chance to win a dyson! or click here

I’d love to win this thing. I “test drove” one in the store and it is so easy to push from my wheelchair. I could go and buy one but …. we keep stalling on that .

Check it out! Cross your fingers and enter!
You can bet that if I win this awesome machine I will give it a deserving review.

Did you know it was supposedly in the new Transformers movie? I had no idea.

oooh and don’t forget to answer my question on my previous blog entry :)

Just a question.

All I have today is a question. My ever so inquiring mind must know YOUR answer so please be sure to let me know.

Toys. LOUD toys. Toys that make noise. Lots of noise.

What’s your tolerance for them? We are all different, I know, so please share.

Me? I’m pretty thick skinned. I can tune out ANY toy, if it’s entertaining my kid. It can go on for hours (not that it REALLY does no matter what we try and convince ourselves of … no kid plays with one toy for that long ;) )

So what about you? Do noisy toys get under your skin or do you take one for the team?

My friend gets to see her husband.

I don’t have anything in particular to say about anyone in my household at the moment but I just have to jump for joy for my one of my best friends in cyber world, Deena.

Deena’s husband has been deployed overseas for right at a year and he flies home today!! He’s already in the US (Cali), and gets to fly home this afternoon!! I can’t imagine the emotions that they entire family feels right now after being apart for an entire year.

They have a little girl (as well as older kids) the same age as William, and I can’t imagine how hard it would be to have to do THAT alone.

Anyways I just wanted to share that little tidbit of GREAT news for my awesome friend :) .

ha!

So We are sitting here playing wii bowling. I “miss” and don’t get a strike. Will shouts “I’m gonna catch up with you baby!!!”

How funny is that?! Where did that even come from!?

– I’m just gonna edit this post …. and add what Will said today (july 8)
will is sitting next to me racing on my phone and I am playing farkle … I said “I farkled” and he said “I farkled on your phone” … I guess he lost the race?

It was a pretty good monday

So yesterday was a pretty average Monday :) . Kid stuff, you know! Oh and groceries.

We also had our bi-weekly “date” with our friends Shawn, Mark and their kids.

We cooked burgers on the grill and had some really yummy (and cheap!!! 10 for $1) corn on the cobb. The funny thing that happened??? We were putting our burgers together and I decided I wanted a little Mayo (totally a new thing for me); as soon as I squirted it, I freaked.

It was NOT mayo!!

The reaction I got was priceless…. it was JUST homemade ranch dressing but everyone else had already put it on!! That was hilarious but it was actually really yummy!!

Mark has a used car shop on the side and I am going to start taking care of his books for him. I think we are going to go with quickbooks (maybe the online version???). It won’t be much but a little extra spending money will be nice.

We have karate today and I am going to run an errand for Shawn. That’s about it.

Oooh – I THINK Lucas said Mama. Finally. Mostly still just says “hi”. It’s really quite hilarious. I know I’ve said it before but it is just too cute to hear him say “hi” over and over and over.

Ooh yes. How could I forget. Will and I are working on a new “routine”. He is helping me get my wheelchair in and out of the car and it actually goes much quicker. I wonder how long THAT is going to last before he gets tired of it. :D ??!
